June 4th will be the 10th Year Anniversary of when the new Plainview Public Library had its grand opening.
To celebrate, the Library board and staff will be having an open house on Saturday, June 6th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with juice, coffee and cookies.
The Library will also be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Lastly the day will be having the Kick-off party for the Summer Reading Program “Level Up At Your Library!” where there will be new outdoor games set up outside and new board games set up in the meeting room to play.
"This program is sponsored by the Nebraska Library Commission and funded in part with state funds allocated through the Nebraska Legislature," said Librarian Donna Johnson. “Will have popsicles for the kids when they register for the Summer Reading Program which will begin the last week in June!”
All are welcome to stop by on Saturday, June 6th any time between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and have a cup of coffee or juice and a cookie or popsicle and check out what the library has to offer during the 10th Year Anniversary open house.
