Congratulations to the Young Lady Pirates basketball team for taking first at Plainview Ballbacker event!
Young Pirates wrap up basket ball season, after playing in Elkhorn Valley league and participating in tournaments in Stanton,
Osmond, and Plainview.
The Plainview Pirate speech team hosted an open house on Tuesday, March 15 in preparation for the State Invite to be held this weekend, March 17 at Kearney High School in Kearney.
The one-day C2 competition begins at 7:30 a.m. with extemporaneous draws and first round of competition at 8:30 a.m. Finals will be held at 3:30 p.m., and results will be announced following.
Those competing for the Pirates will be:
Brittani Gutz in informative speaking,
Reagan Choat in extemporaneous speaking,
Leighton Medina in humorous prose,
Emma King in persuasive speaking.
Heather Pendergast in persuasive speaking
Lauren Jelinek in informative speaking.
Brett Norris in entertainment speaking,
Marque Albin in poetry
OID team of Brett Norris, Brittani Gutz, Leighton Medina, Heather Pendergast, and Derek Rix.
